  1. Hi, I am super excited about my internship. I am working with YCAP on the Community Connect Program. Right now, I have been making lots of phone calls trying to ensure that businesses will be showing up. It can be really time consuming explaining what is going on but when I hear that someone is willing to come, my day is made. My advisor is super nice and has been extremely helpful. She is great at delegating and really wants me to learn from this internship. Her big thing that she is allowing me to take on is dealing with the Cafe at the Community Connects! I happen to love food and anything that deals with this so I am looking forward to it! This week the highlights for me was getting a donation of 10 cases of water for the event!

  2. Hello! The past month I have worked with Habitat for Humanity here in McMinnville working with all the wonderful ladies that help run this organization. I have just got dont updating all of their policies by finding when they had adopted policies that the board approves. Now that I am finished with that task I will begin to write policies along side with Gretchen and Lara. I am so excited to be given this oppurtunity working with such a great organization that helps benefit our local economy and families.

  3. These past weeks have been really interesting! We are about to start the actual countdown for when the event is happening. Some things that I am nervous about is the Cafe that I am in charge of. There are estimating 300 people and we have no donations. I am getting worried. Other then that I have gotten a donation a week. Its really rewording.

On a different note, something that would be great is if you signed up and come volunteer out with us on April 20th. You can contact Jessica Wade or Lizzie Martinez about open volunteer spots. Also, if you would like to donate that would be great too!!

Hope all is working well for you guys too and I look forward to hearing about your internship.
